car  Isuzu Motorsports MU-X confirmed for Dakar Australasian Safari class-winning Isuzu MU-X SUV to compete in 2015 Dakar Rally in South America Isuzu Motorsports is taking   their class-winning MU-X SUV   to the other side of the world to compete in the 2015 Dakar Rally, which starts in Buenos Aires on January 4. The MU-X entered in the Dakar is the same car that won its class in both the   Finke Desert Race   in June and the   Australasian Safari   in September this year. Based on   the production MU-X available in showrooms , the racing version features the same 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine although it has been tweaked to produce 180kW and 600Nm - about 50kW and 220Nm more than the roadgoing version.   Hard-hitting Polestar wagon lands in Australia along with revised S60 Polestar sedan. Volvo has revised its flagship Polestar performance model yet again for 2015, with the sedan joined by a V60 wagon version for the first time. This latest update is the third in sixteen months for the Polestar sedan as Volvo's performance brand continually develops the model to maximise the performance potential of the S60 platform.  The third-gen S60 Polestar brings handling and transmission upgrades over previous iterations and will be available from January 2015 along with its new wagon-shaped brother, the V60 Polestar. Both cars employ an unchanged 257kW/500Nm turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six engine and Haldex all-wheel drive system, with a 6-speed torque converter auto as the sole transmission. Hyundai's upcoming Genesis flagship sedan has been awarded ANCAP’s maximum five-star safety rating. ANCAP has given the soon to be released Hyundai Genesis sedan a five-star safety rating after it scored highly across all areas in the assessment process. The new Genesis sedan is Hyundai’s attempt to rival the luxury sedans offered by prestige European manufacturers like BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. This is the first time we have seen the word 'standard' listed against every safety feature on our checklist The Genesis scored the maximum 16 points for the side impact test, maximum two points for the side pole test and maximum three points for seat belt warnings. How much would you pay for a Hyundai? Most people spend less than $30,000 to put one of the Korean company's compacts in their garage - an i20, Elantra or i30 - but things are changing fast. Hyundai is about to bring its full-luxury Genesis to showrooms and that means buyers will be spending about $60,000.
